Hi, it’s Zorilover, a slightly overexcited blogger who’s thrilled that Golden Week has begun.
The long‑awaited 5day-holidays❣️
I want to write a summary article about the Rocks Pirates so I don’t get swept up in the fun of the ONE PIECE events and end up saying “I’ll write it later” forever.
Recently, more and more information about the members has been revealed, so while my excitement is still high, I’m going to put together a full list of members and a historical timeline.
It’s going to be long‼︎
For the summary article on the Blackbeard Pirates, led by Marshall D. Teach, who has recently been confirmed as the son of Rocks, click here.
Rocks Pirates: Member List
The Rocks Pirates were one of the most unusual crews in ONE PIECE, bringing together monsters who would later become Emperors of the Sea. The table below summarizes their status at the time and where they stand now.
Unlike ordinary pirate crews, their roles weren’t clearly defined (even Rocks himself wasn’t consistently called “captain” or “admiral”), so I’m omitting positions for now.
(Update) This list reflects the latest information.
As of Dec 1, 2025
| Epithet | Name | Status at the Time | Current Status |
| Rocks D. Xebec | A reckless yet overwhelmingly powerful Haki user capable of attacking Mary Geoise during the World Council. He recruited strong crew members through the Davy Back Fight and even pretended to cooperate with the World Government to seize Pirate Island Hachinosu as his base. Aimed to become the “King of the World.” | Long believed to have been defeated 38 years ago at the God Valley Incident by Roger and Garp, but in truth, Im—who wanted to eradicate Rocks and his son due to their lineage from Davy Jones—forced him into a demonic transformation. He was then killed by Figarland Garling of the God Knights. His son Teach was saved by Bartholomew Kuma, who happened to be there. | |
| Yakuza | Shiki | Later known as “Golden Lion Shiki.” At the time, he was merely a low‑ranking yakuza, but he made a name for himself within the Rocks Pirates. He even tried to stop fights between Rocks and Kaido, making him one of the more “reasonable” members of this chaotic crew. | Possibly due to the God Valley Incident, he was imprisoned in Impel Down, but later became the “first” person to escape (though Morley technically escaped earlier). Two years ago, he was defeated by Luffy (in the film *Strong World*). |
| Pirate | Edward Newgate | Later known as “Whitebeard.” Although he didn’t fully agree with Rocks’ ideology, he may have been recruited through a Davy Back Fight. He introduced Kaido to Rocks. | After the fall of the Rocks Pirates at God Valley, he formed the Whitebeard Pirates and reigned for decades as one of the Four Emperors. Beloved as “Oyaji” by his crew. Died in the Paramount War two years ago. |
| Pirate | Charlotte Linlin | Later known as “Big Mom.” During the God Valley Incident, she stole the prize Devil Fruit “Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Azure Dragon,” which Ivankov had been trying to eat, but Kaido ended up consuming it. | After the Rocks Pirates collapsed, she formed the Big Mom Pirates with her children at the core. Reigned as a Four Emperor in the New World for many years, but was defeated in Wano by the Supernovas Kid and Law. |
| Pirate | Kaido | Sold by his homeland, the Vodka Kingdom, he repeatedly attacked Navy ships until he met Rocks through Newgate. During the God Valley Incident, he escaped early. He stole the “Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Azure Dragon” that Linlin had taken and became a Devil Fruit user. | After the fall of the Rocks Pirates, he formed the Beasts Pirates and ruled Wano as a Four Emperor. Defeated in Wano by Luffy, who awakened the Zoan-type “Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika.” |
| Pirate | Captain John |
A pirate famous for his treasure legend. Always seen with a bottle of alcohol. Former user of the Jiki Jikino Mi(magnet fruit). |
Exact time of death unknown, but by two years ago, his body had been turned into one of Moria’s zombies. |
| Pirate Cult Leader |
Wang Zhi |
Has a triple chin and a tongue split like a snake’s. | Survived the God Valley Incident and rose to prominence. Ruled Pirate Island Hachinosu until recently, when he was defeated by Rocks’ son Teach. |
| Science Thief | Buckingham Stussy | Loved making money even in her youth. Possibly the only woman in the early Rocks Pirates. | After the crew’s collapse, she lived with Vegapunk’s MADS and became the model for the first clone, “Stussy.” Claims to be Whitebeard’s lover and is the mother of Weevil, who briefly became a Warlord. |
| Yakuza | Kyou | Later known as “Silver Axe.” A notorious assassin who joined Rocks after visiting Hachinosu on his own. Considered Shiki’s rival among the yakuza. | Current whereabouts unknown, but Sengoku mentioned he was one of the pirates who survived God Valley and rose to fame afterward. |
| West Blue Gangster | Don Marlon | Dressed entirely in black like a stereotypical gangster, but speaks with surprising intelligence. | Whereabouts after God Valley unknown. |
| Smuggling Pirate | Gunsui | Depicted wearing samurai armor with long black hair and a beard. Sometimes shown wearing round black sunglasses. Former user of the Bomb Bomb Fruit. | Whereabouts after God Valley unknown, but two years ago, a zombie with a silhouette identical to him appeared among Moria’s creations. |
| Pirate | Barbell | A catfish Fish‑man. Joined around the time the Rocks Pirates seized Hachinosu, but was not shown during the God Valley Incident. | Whereabouts unknown. |
| Pirate | Streusen | A pirate chef with the Cook‑Cook Fruit who had cared for Linlin since childhood. Her oldest companion. | Currently the head chef of the Big Mom Pirates. Directed the creation of Sanji and Pudding’s wedding cake. Once ambitious, now a soft‑hearted old man. |
| Empress of Amazon Lily | Gloriosa | Captain of the Kuja Pirates and Empress of Amazon Lily, yet for some reason she was part of the Rocks Pirates during the God Valley Incident. She was supposedly lovesick over Roger. Escaped aboard the Roger Pirates’ ship during the incident. | Now retired on Amazon Lily. Sheltered the Gorgon Sisters when they fled Mary Geoise and helped Luffy during the rescue of Ace. A good person through and through. |
